About Us

The Central Muga Eri Research & Training Institute (CMER&TI), Lahdoigarh, is the national institute for muga and eri sericulture under the Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Anchored in low-cost, environment-friendly technology, the institute works to raise the productivity and quality of vanya silk and, with it, the incomes of the farming families who depend on it.
