The centre operates from a leased, two-room Assam-type house at North
Lakhimpur (from the Directorate of Sericulture, Assam), with a 3-acre
plantation of about 700 Som host plants. Muga rearing during the 2025-26
Kotia and Jethuwa crops, using 200 DFLs each, yielded about 11,000 and
9,000 cocoons respectively. Figures are from the unit’s Activity
Report, 2025-26.
